There is no way to adequately thank you, and all that you and your incredible staff did for our family. The day we made our phone call to you was one of the worst our family has been through. Everyone at Angels Paws made a horribly stressful and emotional day so much less painful. Your efficiency and kindness from start to finish was truly astonishing. Because of you, we were able to make it through a this terrible time. Thank you, thank you, thank you from our whole family especially our furry angel Olive.
Our Quincy was adopted into our home when he was about 1 yr old. I did not want a white dog, I did not want a boy dog, but when my then 3 yr old son stepped on Quincy’s paw at the adoption place, and Quincy still vied for Ian’s attention…I knew this was the family member for us. We were honored and blessed to have him for exactly 12 years. Except for his final month on this Earth, Quincy was not a 13 year “old” dog…he was a lively/energetic fur full of fun! He was a great family member, and we enjoyed every minute of the 12 yrs. we had him in our lives… yes even when he did puppy stuff or mischievous things. He will remain ever in our hearts…”Loved and Remembered”. To get the news/diagnosis that one of your loved ones (even the furry ones) is terminal is shocking and hard. BUT to then have to figure out when, how, where, etc. without being able to truly speak to your loved one, and hear their wishes and/or what they are undergoing is even harder. Angels Paws is an amazing group of professional and caring people who help families through these life situations. Being able to have professionals provide guidance, information, validation of your feelings, and assistance can be described through many adjectives: helpful, comforting, timely, worthwhile, remarkable, much needed, and priceless to name a few. Being able to experience, provide comfort, and show love to your family member in those final moments in your own home, with gentle, compassionate, and considerate people is not only a wonderful service, but a relief. Our family personally could not have dealt with a car ride to and from an office. After our dear Quincy passed we were able to go to places in our own home immediately to cope in our own way(s). Tammy at Angels Paws is truly an all-encompassing person. She creatively utilizes her professional skills, and her empathetic personality to provide your family with knowledge, resources, tools, and special spiritual and thoughtful “little surprises” which help each family member experiencing the loss handle it in their own way or receive validation that their feelings are genuine, real, and definitely “not strange”. I would recommend utilizing Angels Paws when your furry family member has limited days ahead. The pet hospice, euthanasia, cremation, and other services Angels Paws provides are more than services; they are significant and exceptional. Thank you Tammy, Katie, Peggy, and Jean for being “you”! Thank you also to Dr. Jodi Brown-Heekin, who was above and beyond “just a veterinarian”. You ladies are amazing, and I don’t know where or how you hide your wings, but my family is convinced you are all Earth Angels. God Bless you, and thank you for the good deeds you do!
My Ali had a wonderful life and because of Tammy and Angel’s Paws, I was able to let her go in a calm, gentle and loving way. Ali was my baby for almost 12 years. In her head she was always a puppy but in the end, her body failed her big spirit. She had a degenerative condition called laryngeal paralysis and was having increasing struggles to breathe. With the fear that she would go into crisis after our vet’s office hours, we wanted the peace of mind that Angel’s Paws around the clock commitment could offer us.
After her last crisis, we knew our time was short so we contacted Angel’s Paws. Tammy and Peggy talked to us with such compassion about what we were facing, reassured us about our care plan and carefully explained what signs to look for to make sure we were not allowing her to suffer as we took the time for our final hours of loving goodbyes. While we had hoped for a few more days, we realized we needed to let her go over the Memorial Day weekend. Without hesitation, Tammy and Chrissy were with us at ten o’clock at night to help give Ali a peaceful goodbye in our home.
Even though it was the hardest decision we have ever made, the fact that they brought dignity and care to every detail made it a very calm experience for all of us. They prayed with us and helped us with our grief and spiritual needs through our time together, which meant so much to us. When it was time to be reunited with her remains, the thoughtful touches and remembrances that Angel’s Paws provided were very soothing and beautiful.
After experiencing the level of love and care that we found with Tammy and her team, we could not imagine saying goodbye to our baby in any other setting than our home or with anyone else helping us through this journey. We are thankful that they gave us such great care and the opportunity for a good goodbye.
Today I said goodbye to my sweet Coco and hello to my Angel. Tammy and her compassionate team made it possible for me to focus on saying goodbye to my sweet girl while they dealt with the details. I was able to experience a special transition with Coco that allowed her to go in peace and me to share my love with her throughout the process. Coco’s spirit has been returned to me which provides much comfort and hope. Thank you for caring for Coco and providing a special experience to us both.
On May 11, 2014, Mother’s Day, we said good bye to our precious Maggie. She was 14 years old and she was our special angel. She was such a playful, silly and sweet soul. When we knew it was time to give her back to God, we were blessed to have the help and compassion of Tammy and her staff at Angels Paws. Letting Maggie go was so heartbreaking. I have a huge void in my heart. We are so grateful that Angels Paws was there to help us with Maggie’s transition to the Rainbow Bridge in a most peaceful and dignified manner. Thanks to Tammy and her staff, we were able to allow Maggie to go to Heaven in a most caring and compassionate way. It was the least we could do in return for 14 yeaers of loyalty, love and entertainment we were blessed through our Maggie. We thank God every day for letting us “borrow her from Him” for 14 years. God Bless Tammy and her staff at Angels Paws for making such a heartbreaking event bearable.
