Today, with the help of Dr. Kate Smith, our beloved 19 year old Charlie crossed the rainbow bridge. Although a terribly sad time not diminished by our anticipation of this day, Dr. Smith showed such tender and kind empathy and enabled us to get through it with strength. So very glad we learned about Angel Paws. You were a life raft when we needed it most. Thank you so much.
I cannot speak highly enough of the deeply kind, compassionate people who staff Angel's Paws. When our beloved 14 yr. old, 90 lb. Lab suffered her final illness, we could not bear the thought of trying to transport her to the vet (she could neither walk nor stand). Nan, who was my ongoing contact, was so sympathetic to the sadness we were feeling and did a magnificent job to accommodate us. Dr. Kate, the vet who performed the in-home euthanasia, was equally compassionate and professional. Our dear girl passed away very peacefully and was carried out in a lovely sheet and emerald green blanket. When I went to retrieve her ashes, I was ushered into a lovely chapel room where I could spend time thinking about how much joy our dear dog had given us. We, and our dear girl, were treated with such dignity and respect. Angel's Paws is simply a wonderful organization.
Thank you so much Tracy for your kindness and respectfulness in the recent loss of our beloved dog. You made the transition easier for all of us involved
I am so grateful to Angel's Paw's for the service provided for my beautiful Dobi girl. Coming to a very difficult decision that Heidi needed help crossing over, you sent a very compassionate Dr. Kate. I believe Heidi knew Dr. Kate was here to help her. Although Heidi was ready, this was so hard for me. We were together over 10 yrs. Visiting the breeder, 6 puppies (7wks old) were available and I couldn't decide So I asked "who wants to go home with me?" and Heidi came running. She picked me! She was smart, gentle and my Dobi guard dog.No one came to the house without her letting me know. Heidi's daily joy was to watch for the mail truck and when she saw it she would whine, bark and spin around. We went out whether we had mail or not even in the rain, BUT she would not go out in the rain to pee!!
How can we ever say" thank you" enough for helping us let go of our sweet Skye. She was not just a "dog"- she was a member of our family and THE BEST DOG EVER. We never thought we could bear to put her down but the look she gave us that last day said "please help me". Angel Paws sent Dr.Kate out to us and she was so very kind and compassionate. She treated Skye with love and dignity as she drifted off to cross the Rainbow Bridge and wait for us.Skye's love for us was unconditional as our love was for her. We have such wonderful memories of our life with her. Nan was also very caring and kind as she helped us make final arrangements and choose memorials of Skye We cannot say it enough...thank you from the bottom of our broken hearts for being there for us.
